The tools of inequality live in language. But so do the tools for equality. #MeWeIntl’s mission is to mitigate the inequality in narratives that persist across all culture systems. By tackling under representation we can weaken inequality across systems of economy, education, health, entertainment, and policy making.

For vulnerable and marginalized people however, chronic stress coupled with systemic inequality and lack of security often weaken one’s connection across their mind, heart, and breath to the point where underrepresentation, silence, or apathy become normalized.

Weakened communications skills and lack of spaces for representation and agency physically reshape the brain and body, and psychologically harm the mental health and wellbeing of a person. These physical and mental disruptions can cascade across entire communities. #MeWeIntl sees that an arrested narrative of an individual can translate to the arrested development of an entire community.

But #MeWeIntl believes people, like stories, are living and breathing formulas for change. A key part of our mission is to cultivate community-led spaces where new voices, fresh perspectives, and new leadership emerge from within underrepresented and vulnerable communities to remodel the world.
